Google Stadia is being discontinued because it failed to gain significant traction in the gaming market. Despite Google's initial investment and efforts to promote the platform, it struggled to attract a large user base and faced stiff competition from established gaming platforms like PlayStation and Xbox. Additionally, the high cost of maintaining the infrastructure for cloud gaming likely contributed to the decision to discontinue Stadia. Ultimately, Google decided to shift its focus away from developing first-party games and instead explore partnerships with other companies to offer its technology. **
